20-25 split wings
Brine:
1 Cup buttermilk
1Cup hot sauce
1 Tsp. salt
Seasoning:
1Tsp salt
1 Tsp black pepper
1 Tsp hot cayenne pepper
1 Tsp. paprika
1 Tsp. onion powder
1 Tsp garlic powder
2 Cup flour
Instructions:
- Wash chicken wings
- Place chicken in a bowl or brining bag, add salt, buttermilk, hot sauce, mix and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
- In a separate container combine salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Pour off brine and season chicken with half of the seasoning mixture.
- In a bowl, add flour and the remaining seasoning mixture and mix well.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Coat each wing in the flour mixture and place on a oven griddle pan. Place chicken wings in the oven for 20 minutes, flip the wings and place them back in the oven for an additional 20 minutes or until done. (Ensure to check the wings frequently to prevent wings from burning )
- Serve warm.
