Top Sirloin Steak
½ salt
½ black pepper
½ oregano
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. oil
2 cloves garlic
1 spring thyme
Instructions:
- Add 1 tablespoon of oil and distribute evenly on each side of the steak and season with salt, black pepper, and oregano.
- Add remaining oil to ovenproof skillet and heat until it is very hot but not smoking.
- Preheat oven to 420 degrees F.
- Add steak to the skillet and brown on each side for 5-7 minutes. (Ensure to brown the edges as well)
- Add butter, garlic and thyme to the pan.
- Transfer skillet to oven and broil for an additional 7-10 minutes or until medium to well done.
- Rest steak for 5 minutes then serve.
